Brand Ambassador: Ame Wren
Ame Wren is our second brand ambassador. We are super excited to have this Boston yogi on board! As the Director of Boston Yoga School, full-time yoga teacher and worldwide retreat leader - saying she's influential in the yoga community is an understatement. "After almost fifteen years of practice it's now my lifestyle, my ethical system and my community. I can't imagine my life without it so I teach in order to bring the tools to others."

Q: What is your occupation?
Ame: I'm a full time yoga teacher and director of Boston Yoga School.
Q: What or who inspired you to become a yoga teacher and why?
Ame: When I first started practicing yoga I was only practicing the physical aspects of it. Like many people, that was my gateway in. After almost fifteen years of practice it's now my lifestyle, my ethical system and my community. I can't imagine my life without it so I teach in order to bring the tools to others. I am most inspired by my teachers and my students.
Q: How do you describe what you do and what do you love most about it?
Ame: I teach 17 public classes a week as well as regular workshops in Boston and surrounding areas. I also lead about 8 retreats and anywhere from 3-6 teacher trainings every year. It's hard to say what I love most because it's all quite rewarding, but Boston Yoga School probably has the biggest piece of my heart. It's my passion project and I am always thinking of ways to make it better and to move beyond the paradigm of teacher training. My graduates are like an extended family to me and I am constantly in awe of their dedication and willingness to spread the yoga goodness. When I look into the future I see the BYS community doing big things to bring yoga into places it hasn't gone yet.
Q: When you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, what gives you peace?
Ame: To be honest, I'm not overwhelmed or stressed often, but when I am it's walking with my dogs in technology-free place that quiets my mind and rejuvenates my lust for life.
Q: What are your hobbies or passions other than yoga?
Ame: I love to cook and listen to NPR. I'm passionate about the ocean and go to the beach as often as I can. And I hang out with my fellow hippies in JP.
Q: How would you describe your personal Style?
Ame: simple & stretchy
Q: Why did you want to be an ambassador for Crane & Lion?
Ame: Because I'm excited about a Boston-bred brand of yoga clothes! And because the design is beautiful and the quality offers an alternative to some of the monster-brands out there dominating the scene. I believe in small business and love great yoga clothes so it's a total fit (no pun intended ha!).
