Brand Ambassador: Erin Bartolome
We are thrilled to introduce Erin Bartolome as the newest member of our brand ambassador team. With a bachelor's degree in communication, Erin firmly believes that modern technology has faded our natural form of connection to each other, nature and ourselves and that the practice of yoga can help shift these habits.
We know that we could certainly use some help living in a more connected and mindful way and consider ourselves lucky to have access to this leader.
Q: What is your occupation?
Erin: I teach yoga and am studying at Kripalu to become a life coach.
Q: What or who inspired you to become an instructor?
Erin: After receiving my bachelors degree in communications in college, I became a firm believer that modern technology has faded our natural form of connection to each other, nature and ourselves. I believe that the practice of yoga helps shift these habits, so I strive to empower all levels of students in a safe and non-judgmental setting.
Q: How do you describe what you do and what do you love most about it?
Erin: On a continual basis, science is proving that specific yoga techniques are effective against a range of health conditions in ways that medicine and traditional therapies simply are not. Like any skill, we get better at what we choose to practice.I am dedicated to sharing the powerful benefits that I believe yoga can provide you with by cultivating a no-judgmental practice in a public or private class setting.
Q: When you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, what gives you peace?
Erin: My go to for this is the pranayama Nadi Shodhana (breathing technique). It is truly a game changer! I also layer it in with using mantra meditation which essentially is a positive affirmation geared towards something someone is working on or wants to strengthen.
Q: What are your hobbies or passions other than being a fitness leader?
Erin: My personal passions are hands down friends, community events, animals, nature, stand up paddle, horseback riding, hiking, camping and cooking. My newest and strongest love has shifted to Life Coaching. I am currently in a training and have been coaching six clients a month for the past four months now, it has been the most rewarding training I have ever experienced besides my first Yoga Teacher Training and Kripalu.
Q: How would you describe your personal Style?
Erin: My personal style is a mix between being natural, and vintage-inspired aesthetic. Although most of my laundry consists of Crane and Lion yoga clothes from teaching, you'll often very original and unique pieces.
Q: Why did you want to be an ambassador for Crane & Lion?
Erin: I wanted to represent Crane and Lion for a handful of reasons. Number one, they are the very first Yoga clothing store that landed on this tiny island where I have been for almost a decade. Two, I teach for four different locations here while also offering SUP Yoga and fun donation based events. Three and most importantly, I heard the owner of this company was really nice from a handful of trusted sources, and trust me - everyone knows everyone here. When I met him it was clear the rumors were true and I also discovered he appreciated my Life Coach Training that I am currently in which meant a lot to me. I am honored to represent an authentic, kind and whole hearted company like Crane and Lion.
